“The Yellow Dog Project was created to bring awareness to the general public about dogs who need space while training, recovering from surgery, or being rehabilitated.”
This project is a great way to educate kids and parents to ask before petting, educate the public on when a dog is uninterested, and when a dog just needs space. I believe better awareness in the community will help prevent bites, assist with management while in training, reduce reactive dogs from going over threshold, and assist with a better understanding that not every dog wants to be interacted with. That’s okay. Each dog is different.
